Priority Pass to Accelerate Travel Innovation Through Collinson Group’s £500 Million Growth Programme
BANGKOK, Sept. 24, 2026 — via PR Newswire | Priority Pass is set to accelerate innovation across the travel experience sector as parent company Collinson Group advances a £500 million, five-year investment programme, supported by a newly secured £350 million financing facility.
A significant portion of the investment will support the continued expansion of the group’s proprietary airport lounge network and further development of Priority Pass, including enhancements to its core offering and increased investment in digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and data capabilities. The programme will also broaden the range of travel services available to Priority Pass clients and members.
The investment builds on technology and service improvements already being introduced across Priority Pass. These include a new enterprise-level technology platform built around modern data and AI architecture, as well as the global rollout of the Priority Pass+ app. Together, these developments are intended to create a more connected digital ecosystem for clients, partners and members while supporting greater personalization over time.
Collinson Investment Supports Long-Term Priority Pass Growth
As a family-owned company, Collinson takes a long-term approach to business growth, continually reinvesting in its operations, customers, partners and employees. This strategy has supported the continued expansion of Priority Pass and the development of new products and services as the programme grows alongside the broader global travel market.
A major component of the Collinson Group investment programme will focus on expanding its international airport lounge presence through Airport Dimensions, Priority Pass’ sister company. Increasing lounge capacity is expected to help support the Priority Pass member experience as global aviation demand continues to grow.
According to the Airports Council International forecast cited by the company, global air passenger traffic is expected to nearly double to approximately 19 billion journeys annually by 2045. Priority Pass has recently surpassed 1,900 airport lounges and travel experiences worldwide, with its global network growing by 6.7% over the previous 12 months.
Priority Pass Investment Focuses on Next-Generation Travel Experiences
Christopher Evans, CEO of Collinson International, owners of Priority Pass, said:
“Travel plays an increasingly important role in people’s lives. While operating costs across the travel industry continue to rise, so too do traveller expectations, with people seeking journeys that are more seamless, connected and personalised. That makes investment in the customer experience more important than ever before.
“This investment reflects a principle that has remained core to our business for more than 35 years: that investing in better travel experiences creates genuine value for our partners, our clients and travellers alike. Recent shifts in what technology can enable means we need to increase our investment levels to realise the value new technology can bring through Priority Pass, further allowing our clients to offer differentiated and personalised experiences to their customers.
“As we surpass 1,900 lounges and travel experiences globally, the Group’s investment in lounge capacity through Airport Dimensions means our members will benefit from a network that keeps expanding for the long term. This powerful combination is unique in our sector. It allows us to work closely with financial institutions, travel brands and airport partners around the world to help them build stronger customer relationships while shaping the next generation of airport experiences and delivering long-term value.”
Priority Pass+ App Enhances the Digital Travel Experience
Investment in Priority Pass is also driving upgrades to its digital infrastructure, systems and member services, including the new Priority Pass+ app.
The app is designed to make it easier for members to plan trips, access airport benefits and manage their Priority Pass membership through a single platform.
Future features are expected to include more intuitive travel planning supported by AI, previous user behavior and real-time geolocation, where enabled. These capabilities are intended to help the app proactively identify suitable airport lounges and travel experiences based on a member’s journey.
Over time, the technology will provide a foundation for more personalized recommendations based on individual preferences while helping Priority Pass partners present relevant travel experiences to members.
The company also plans to further develop partner integration, including secure in-app purchasing for selected travel experiences and benefits.
Other digital enhancements include easier membership activation, saved card functionality, biometric authentication and email or mobile one-time verification.
Eligible members can also manage multiple Priority Pass memberships through one account, reducing the need to switch between separate logins. In a planned future enhancement, eligible principal payment cardholders will be able to use the Priority Pass+ app to share visit entitlements with supplementary cardholders, where permitted by the issuing bank, including when supplementary cardholders travel independently.
Priority Pass Expands Travel Services and Airport Access
Alongside improvements to its core technology, Priority Pass is expanding its portfolio of travel services to support both client objectives and changing traveller expectations.
One recent addition is Priority Pass Private, a premium, full-service airport experience designed to provide a more elevated and seamless airport journey for discerning travellers.
The programme has also introduced airport fast track at 28 airports, allowing eligible users to access expedited security lanes through the Priority Pass app.
Over the next 12 months, Priority Pass expects the fast-track network to expand to more than 170 bookable fast-track lanes across over 150 terminals and more than 130 airports worldwide.
The company cites research showing that 73% of travellers identify fast track as the leading technology for improving the airport experience, highlighting demand for greater convenience, efficiency and control during air travel.
Airport fast track joins Priority Pass’ expanding portfolio of travel services supporting customers before, during and after their journeys, including airport parking and luggage storage.
Priority Pass Strengthens Partnerships With Global Travel Brands
After more than 35 years in operation, Priority Pass has expanded beyond its origins as an airport lounge access programme to become a broader travel ecosystem covering services before, during and after a journey.
The programme now records more than six million guest visits each month, reflecting continued demand for airport lounge access and other premium travel experiences.
The Collinson growth programme will also support the continued development of Priority Pass’ airport experience network. Its strengthened relationship with lounge partner CAVU, which operates Escape Lounges, has resulted in dedicated areas for Priority Pass and LoungeKey members at five UK lounges.
Escape Lounges reception teams also assist Priority Pass and LoungeKey members with priority access when space becomes available, helping increase lounge utilization and member visits.
Collinson Group Invests in the Future of Travel
The latest Priority Pass investment forms part of Collinson Group’s recently announced £350 million Revolving Credit Facility, which supports a £500 million investment programme over five years.
Beyond Priority Pass, the programme will support the expansion of Collinson’s global airport lounge network, growth of its insurance business, development of new technologies and products, expansion into new markets and investment in its workforce.
Collinson has also renewed its commitment to the Collinson Foundation, pledging to allocate 5% of profits by FY29 toward initiatives focused on education, employment, entrepreneurship, innovation and crisis response.
Notes
Airport fast track pricing varies by airport and is a member-funded service. Priority Pass lounge entitlements or visits cannot be used to pay for airport fast track. The service is currently available at 28 airports across eight countries in Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, with further expansion planned in Asia-Pacific. Members should check the departing airport listing in the Priority Pass app for current availability.
The company’s cited research is from Priority Pass Tomorrow’s Journey: Smarter, Faster, Connected, while the global passenger traffic forecast referenced above comes from Airports Council International’s January 2026 forecast.
